The primary trusts from which we benefit are Te Kaha 2B2 Ahu Whenua Trust and Te Kaha 2B1 Hinewahirangi Trust. There are 3 Trustees, Waata Shepherd and Whaiora Maangi (grandchildren of Tangi) and Rongo Puha (child of Hinewahirangi).
The Orchard is named after the two kuia (meaning elder, grandmother) who we succeeded from being Tangi Tukaki and Hinewahirangi Puha. The trustees invested in another established orchard called Otamakawera Orchard. Hinetangi Ltd (previously called Tamakawera Orchards Limited) Hinetanga Ltd is the business arm of the two orchards and any other development purchases or investments. The Directors of this company are Waata Shepherd, Whaiora Maangi and Rongo Puha.
